On Monday 26th August 2019, FC Lawyers celebrated Dog Appreciation Day. As long-time supporters of the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge (SCARS) at Sippy Downs, we ensured we raised awareness with our team across our social media channels to shine a light on the great organisation that SCARS are, and how much appreciation we have for everything they do.
Who are the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge?
The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge (Sippy Creek Animal Refuge Society Inc) was established in 1979 to provide temporary refuge and find new homes for abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted cats and dogs. The Refuge is an independent, non-profit, charitable organisation and has a strictly regulated non-euthanasia policy. We also run education programmes for the community on responsible animal ownership.
All cats and dogs admitted to the Refuge are Vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, de-sexed, micro chipped and medically treated if necessary, prior to being available for sale to the public. We have comprehensive terms and conditions of sale to ensure the animals are adopted into an appropriately loving home.
Our team are passionate about causes and organisations that assist our community and we would like to encourage everyone to consider helping support SCARS. You can view the variety of ways to donate and support the Refuge here. We encourage you to follow and support SCARS who do a remarkable job providing care and re-homing animals on the Sunshine Coast for all animals.
You can see below the wide range of dogs that our team members have and cherish that have been rescued and adopted in the past.
Happy Dog Appreciation Day!
