On Friday the 28th August 2020, FC Lawyers raised awareness and funds for the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day. 29,000 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cancer Council made the decision to have a digital Daffodil Day after the flowers were unable to be transported or distributed throughout Australia. This was the first time anyone had experienced this however, in a true charity spirit, Australia came together to raise funds for a very worthy cause.
Our two offices in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast purchased Daffodil Day pins, purchased cupcakes from Sweet As Co and raised funds for the Cancer Council.
Our team would like to thank Leesa from Sweet As Co for not only creating the wonderful cupcakes and biscuits for our team, but for donating a significant amount per item purchased. This raised additional funds for Daffodil Day and we’re happy that Leesa contributed in such an amazing way. Check out their Facebook page for more.
A big thanks also to Quan Dang from Rumble Finance and Stuart Nixon from CoffeeFruit Pure who also joined in and helped raise funds.
We’re proud to support Daffodil Day 2020 and look forward to raising much needed funds next year.
We encourage anyone that would like to donate to the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day, to do so via their website as we all look to find a cure to this terrible disease that affects so many people in many ways.
