Reuben Carlos, a former long serving Executive Director in the Queensland Public Service, focuses his practice on general litigation. He has had significant experience in criminal and regulatory law and will be working in the area of Crime, Environment, Family, Employment and all things regulatory. He has more than 20 years of experience in law and regulation previously working as a prosecutor at Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Director of Litigation at the Department of Environment and most recently as the Executive Director of Coal and then Petroleum and Gas at the Department of Environment where he oversaw compliance and regulatory services.

He attended Griffith University and has completed a Bachelor of Laws and Arts (Media Studies). He was admitted to practice in 2001.

With extensive legal and senior management experience in the government sector including the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Department of Environment, he is uniquely placed, as a Consultant, to offer a specialised service in all matters relating to compliance and regulation particularly in the areas of local and state laws.

Reuben is a problem solver and a very effective advocate. He works with our clients to develop strategies and to achieve the best possible outcome for them. He utilises his extensive networks within government to ensure that our clients are provided with an extensive and all-encompassing service.
